Aegea to issue $500 million in debentures

<p>Funds to support sanitation projects and debt reimbursement.</p>

By Brazil Stock Guide – Aegea Saneamento approved the issuance of up to BRL 2.825 billion in debentures to finance investment projects and reimburse expenses, according to a report by Estadão’s E-Investidor.

The company plans to issue as many as 2,825,000 debentures, each with a nominal value of BRL 1,000 and maturing on January 15, 2036. The securities will carry a fixed annual interest rate of 17.53%.

Proceeds from the offering will be directed toward infrastructure projects in the sanitation sector and the reimbursement of costs and debt linked to these investments, as detailed in the bond indenture.
