By Brazil Stock Guide – Neoenergia SA (NEOE3 BZ) said on Wednesday (25) it completed the sale of a 6.87% economic stake in Canoas 3 Energia Renovável SA to Nexus Manganês SA, in a transaction designed to enable wind power self-production.
The deal was executed through its subsidiary Neoenergia Renováveis SA and follows the terms of a previously signed share purchase agreement between the parties. In addition to the equity transfer, the transaction includes a power purchase agreement with Canoas 3 structured to allow Nexus to qualify for self-production by equivalence from a wind source.
Electricity will be generated at the Chafariz Wind Complex, located in the state of Paraíba. The project comprises 15 wind farms with total installed capacity of 471 megawatts (MW). Of that amount, 15 MW will be allocated to Nexus for a period of 10 years.
Neoenergia said all precedent conditions required for closing were fulfilled. The completion follows a material fact disclosure released in July 2025, when the transaction was first announced.
