By Brazil Stock Guide – ViaQuatro secured 1.25 billion reais ($250 million) in financing to fund the expansion of São Paulo’s Line 4-Yellow metro, according to its controlling shareholder Motiva, announced Wednesday (18). The funding was arranged under the federal government’s Pró-Transporte program, aimed at supporting urban mobility infrastructure.

The financing structure includes corporate guarantees proportional to each shareholder’s stake in the Line 4 project until completion of the expansion works. Motiva and other investors committed to providing these guarantees, ensuring the project’s financial backing throughout its execution.

The Line 4-Yellow is a key component of São Paulo’s metro network, connecting major areas of the city. The planned expansion is expected to increase system capacity and improve service coverage in response to growing urban transit demand.
