By Brazil Stock Guide – Shopee, the e-commerce platform owned by Sea Ltd. (NYSE: SE), opened three new distribution centers in Brazil as part of a logistics expansion aimed at speeding up deliveries in one of Latin America’s largest online retail markets.
The new facilities are located in Vitória, Curitiba and Fortaleza and are expected to create about 900 jobs, according to Broadcast, which first reported the announcement. Together, the centers can process more than 700,000 orders a day.
The sites will operate under a cross-docking model, in which goods are received, sorted and quickly forwarded for delivery rather than stored for extended periods. The structure is designed to reduce handling time and accelerate the flow of orders to final consumers.
The expansion is part of Shopee’s 2026 logistics plan in Brazil. Earlier this year, the company opened fulfillment centers in Goiás, Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais, broadening its operational footprint beyond traditional distribution points.
Shopee said the investments have already helped reduce delivery times. The company reported that its average delivery period fell by 1.5 days in the fourth quarter of 2025 from a year earlier.
“With the expansion of capacity in strategic regions, we are able to shorten delivery times and provide more predictability, while strengthening the ecosystem of local sellers,” Rafael Flores, Shopee’s head of expansion, said in a statement.
Shopee now has 22 distribution centers in Brazil, including 17 cross-docking sites and five fulfillment centers. Its logistics network also includes more than 200 hubs, about 3,000 Shopee Agencies and more than 45,000 partner drivers.
