Brazil electronics revenue 2025

By Brazil Stock Guide – Brazil’s electro-electronic industry closed 2025 with revenue of BRL 270.8 billion, marking a 4% real increase from 2024 as consumers continued shifting toward higher-value devices, according to sector executives speaking on Tuesday (28).

During a briefing, Humberto Barbato, president of the industry association, said demand increasingly favors advanced products. “Consumers are choosing equipment with more features, more technology and, therefore, higher prices,” he noted. Even so, he said overall performance could have been stronger had the rise in product sophistication been accompanied by larger sales volumes.

Industrial output fell 1.4% in 2025, with a 0.8% drop in electrical goods and a 2% decline in electronics manufacturing. Capacity utilization held steady at 78%.

Employment rose 1%, reaching 288,000 workers, while investment expanded 9% to BRL 4.7 billion, up from BRL 4.3 billion a year earlier. Barbato described the year as better than expected. “The year brought positive surprises despite a challenging environment,” he said.

He added that data centers and artificial-intelligence infrastructure have helped drive demand for high-performance technologies. “The change in consumer behavior explains part of the revenue growth, as people seek more sophisticated products and new technologies,” he said.

Outlook for 2026

The industry forecasts BRL 289 billion in revenue for 2026, representing 3% real growth. Output is expected to expand 2%, reversing this year’s contraction. Employment should reach 292,000, while investments are projected to rise 7% to BRL 5 billion. Exports are set to grow 3%, and imports 4%.
