By Brazil Stock Guide — Embraer said on Friday it had signed a firm order with aircraft lessor Azorra for 15 E195-E2 jets, with purchase rights for another 15 aircraft, in a deal that takes the Brazilian planemaker’s E2 program beyond 500 total orders.
The announcement comes after the United States exempted commercial aircraft and aerospace products from President Donald Trump’s latest tariff measures, easing a potential source of uncertainty for aircraft manufacturers, suppliers and lessors involved in cross-border transactions.
The order raises Azorra’s firm commitments for Embraer’s E2 family to 54 aircraft from 39, marking the third time the Florida-based lessor has expanded its orderbook since first backing the program in 2021.
The order takes cumulative bookings for Embraer’s E2 family beyond 500 aircraft, a milestone for the company’s next-generation regional jet program. Embraer said more than 200 E2 jets are currently in service with 24 customers worldwide.
The E195-E2 is Embraer’s largest commercial aircraft and is marketed as a fuel-efficient, lower-emission jet with a 2-2 cabin layout and no middle seats.
